From the main Swiss routes<\/h3>

From Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux or Martigny via the A9:<\/p>

  1. Exit 18 Saint-Triphon \u2013 Les Portes du Soleil<\/li>
  2. Head for the Collombey tunnel<\/li>
  3. At Val d’Illiez, at the roundabout, follow Les Crosets<\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n

    From Thonon-les-Bains, \u00c9vian or Annemasse via the D22:<\/p>

    1. Cross the Pas de Morgins (border)<\/li>
    2. Forest road towards Champ\u00e9ry<\/li>
    3. Turn left onto Route des Bains before Val d’Illiez<\/li>
    4. At the roundabout, follow Les Crosets<\/li><\/ol><\/div><\/div>\n

      Take the train to Aigle station, then the TPC line to Val d’Illiez, and the bus up to Les Crosets.<\/p><\/div>\n

      Arrival changes with the season<\/em><\/h2>

      The road climbs to Les Crosets all year round \u2014 but the final stretch up to the refuge feels quite different in summer and in winter.<\/p><\/div>\n

      Drive right to the door<\/h3>\n

      At Les Crosets, after the Free Ride Hotel, turn right and follow the \u201cChaudron\u201d signs.<\/p>\n

      • By car:<\/b> direct access, parking around the hotel.<\/li>\n
      • On foot:<\/b> a lovely climb from Les Crosets along the trails.<\/li>\n
      • By mountain bike:<\/b> you can ride up via the resort trails.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

        Skis, snowcat\u2026 or snowshoes<\/h3>\n

        The road stops at Les Crosets: leave your car at Chalet Montriond (our hotel) and head up to the refuge with ease.<\/p>\n

        • By snowcat:<\/b> shuttle from Chalet Montriond \u2014 we take care of your luggage.<\/li>\n
        • On snowshoes:<\/b> an easy, waymarked climb from Les Crosets (~30 min), suitable for everyone \u2014 your luggage goes up by snowcat.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n
