Refuge Le Chaudron 1818
At 1,818 m between Champéry and Les Crosets: eight rooms, a two-bedroom apartment and the Espace Tribu, sleeping up to 40. Mountain-top dining and a terrace facing the Dents Blanches.

Frequently asked questions
Your questions before you go skiing
Can you really ski straight from the door?
The refuge is right on the slopes, between Champéry and Les Crosets. Access from Les Crosets by chairlift, or from Champéry by cable car. In the evening, transfer by Polaris from Chalet Montriond in Les Crosets.
Are lift passes included?
They are offered as an option and booked with your room, with 10% off the official Portes du Soleil ticket-office price, according to each skier’s age. They are waiting for you on arrival.
We are beginners or coming with children: what should we do?
We book ski lessons for you and recommend the right slopes. Family rooms sleep up to four.
Where can we rent equipment?
Chamois Sports in Les Crosets: 10% off for our guests.
How do we get there in winter?
By car: A9 motorway, exit 18 Saint-Triphon – Les Portes du Soleil, then Val-d’Illiez and Les Crosets. In winter, the road ends in Les Crosets: park at Chalet Montriond (CHF 10/day), then go up to the refuge on skis, on snowshoes (about 30 min, waymarked) or by snowcat with your luggage. By train: Aigle station, then the TPC train to Val-d’Illiez and the bus to Les Crosets. Geneva airport is 1 h 30 away. All the details on our Getting here page.
