How the day goes

Five moments, one day

The order matters: the ticket takes you up, the table keeps you there, the mountain does the rest.

I

Leaving Champéry

Show your confirmation at the cable car ticket office, open from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. First cabin at 8.45 am, then every 30 minutes. Official timetable

II

Up to Le Chaudron

A 25-minute walk from Croix-de-Culet — or the Polaris option, our all-terrain vehicle, five people at a time.

III

At the table

The dish of the day, served facing the Dents Blanches. Chef Alexi builds it from the morning market.

IV

Back to Croix-de-Culet

On foot by the same path, or by Polaris if you took the option.

V

Cable car down

Whenever suits you: last cabin at 4.45 pm, and until 5.15 pm in high season.

Between Croix-de-Culet and the refuge

On foot, or by Polaris

Twenty-five minutes on a mountain path is no small thing. We will come and fetch you if you prefer — and the ride is worth it.

Included

25 minutes on foot

A mountain path from the cable car station to the refuge, and the same on the way back. Proper shoes are needed.

The Polaris option

Our all-terrain vehicle picks you up at the cable car station and brings you back. Five people at a time: it is an experience in itself, not a shuttle. Tick the box when booking.

  • Up from Croix-de-Culet11h45
  • Back to Croix-de-Culet14h45

Take a cabin before 11.30 am to make the pick-up.
